Welcome to my quiet corner of the internet: Our Green Offering.
To keep it simple, this blog is a personal, intimate account of my journey into climate action.
Although each newsletter will be a personal detailing of my journey, I've used the collective 'our' as a way to pay homage to how we will be collectively remember for this transition."Here's how humanity overcame the largest crisis of a generation!", I can imagine future headlines reading.
Will the human race be remembered as triumphant? It’s the possibility of triumph against this ‘crisis of a generation’ that has been an impetus of sorts, one that motivates me to make the switch into climate action as a career.
My starting point has since been one of ignorance. I don’t know exactly where I’m going, but I know where my heart belongs — you can learn more about my motivations for climate action here. I'm quite drawn to the idea of compassionately living for others, so they may flourish. I suppose this ties in with my beliefs as a Christian — of which you’ll see as a recurring motif if you follow my story.
But ultimately, I'd like to think that what most motivates me the for climate action is hope for a sustainable future — a hope that perhaps grounds all of us.
As an individual who transitioned from advertising, I’m hoping this space helps illuminate the path forward for others interested in entering the climate space. Read through my archives to see where I’ve started and how much progress I’ve made.
